Eligibility Requirements

Joining the American Legion opens doors to camaraderie, support, and advocacy for veterans while connecting you with a community dedicated to mutual help and service.

To become a member of the American Legion, you must meet the following criteria:

Service: You must have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941, and have been honorably discharged, or you are still serving honorably in active military duty.
